Why adopt a saw-whet owl?

The northern saw-whet owl is one of the smallest species of owl, typically weighing just 75 - 105 grams. They nest in tree cavities in coniferous forests across North America.

Although abundant in some areas, the northern saw-whet owl brooksi subspecies is only found on Haida Gwaii and is listed as Threatened under Canada's Species at Risk Act. This declining population is threatened by loss of habitat due to human activities like the harvesting of lumber.

With your symbolic adoption, you're helping WWF-Canada restore and conserve important habitats for the saw-whet owl and other species at risk.
