WHY ADOPT A MUSKOX?

Well-adapted to the frozen tundra, muskoxen have inhabited the Arctic for thousands of years. Called umingmak in Inuktitut, which roughly translates to "the bearded one," the mighty muskoxen looks like a big hairy bison but are closer cousins to goats or sheep. They weigh around 300 kilograms and have a shaggy, coarse outer coat and an insulating undercoat that is softer than cashmere and warmer than sheep's wool.

Muskoxen are threatened by climate change as the warming temperatures strain their ability to find food. With your symbolic adoption, you're helping WWF-Canada safeguard species and habitats across Canada.

DESIGNED TRUE-TO-LIFE MUSKOX PLUSH

Both males and females have large horns that grow downward and outward in a C shape. Our plush includes this distinctive feature, unique to the muskox, as well as their dark shaggy hair, hump between their shoulders and large hooves.
