    WHY ADOPT AN ORCA?

Orcas are one of Canada's most iconic marine mammals and are culturally significant to many First Nation communities.

They also are an important indicator of ocean health. Yet survival is increasingly uncertain for the southern resident killer whale population, found in B.C.'s Salish Sea. Shortages of Chinook salmon — their main food source — along with increasing underwater noise, have caused the population to dwindle to around 70 individuals. Listed as Endangered under the Species at Risk Act, there is urgent need for action to protect these majestic mammals from extinction.

WWF-Canada is working to quiet oceans for marine species and recover the killer whale's prey species.

With your symbolic adoption, you're helping ensure the long-term health of the marine ecosystems orcas depend on and providing a healthier natural world for us all.

    DESIGNED TRUE-TO-LIFE ORCA PLUSH
